Ranking 1st in class of 70, 39 average, 970 SAT, accepted at Colby and Bowdoin College. She was on the Honor Roll every quarter.

She was GVHS Class of 1992 Valedictorian. She received GVHS Math and English Awards for three years. She got the Freshman Home Economics Award in two years. And she also got the following: 1990-'91 University of Maine Academic Achievement Award, McDonald's Academic All-State Team 1992, GVHS Outstanding Female Student/ Athlete Award two years.

She was a varsity letterman in field hockey for 3 years, she was the team's co-captain. She was the High School Athlete of the Week by WMME Radio for scoring a Hat Trick in 1991, and on the Courier Gazette All-Star Field Hockey Team for 3 years.

She got a varsity letter in basketball for 4 years, and co-captained for 2 years. She had the following honors: Portland Sunday Telegram All-State First Team 1991 and Second Team in 1992; Bangor Daily News Dream Team Honorable Mention 1991; Courier Gazette All-Star Team 1992; McDonald's Western Maine All-Star Team 1992; chosen by USA Today as one of Maine's "players to XXXXX" Nov. 1991; Shaw's Award, All-Maine Basketball Clinic 1989.

She was also a varsity letterman in tennis for 3 years and the captain her senior year, winning the Mid Maine Conference Consolation Trophy 1991.

Her School/Community Activities were: Freshman Class Treasurer; Drama Club; Pep Club; Student Council; Project Graduation; Prom Committee; Principal's Leadership Award; Junior High Science Fair Judge; Cooperative Learning Program; she taught young athletes at a summer field hockey clinic; coached girl's peewee basketball; volunteer for the Georges River Tidewater Association; volunteer at the Owl's Head Transportation Museum.

Our Mission

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1972 for the purpose of: 1) appointing and bestowing recognition awards and scholarships to outstanding Maine high school scholar-athletes; and, 2) to formally honor and memorialize Maine athletes and sports figures who have brought distinction and honor to the state of Maine.
