Randy Charette

Randy Charette, second-ranked in a senior class of 221 as salutatorian with an average of 93.888, has been a basketball and soccer standout as well as adding baseball and volleyball action at Presque Isle.

A two-year basketball letterman, he was named All-Aroostook and gained All-Eastern Maine Class A tournament honorable mention this past season as Presque Isle captain. He was also named to the state's All-American basketball team.

Randy lettered three years in soccer, made All-Aroostook as Presque Isle's MVP and captain. He is currently president of the Varsity Club.

Randy has also been a member of the Math team four years, and was Presque Isle's top scorer in the Mathematical Association of America annual exam.

He's been accepted at the University of Maine, Orono, in Chemical Engineering.

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1972 for the purpose of: 1) appointing and bestowing recognition awards and scholarships to outstanding Maine high school scholar-athletes; and, 2) to formally honor and memorialize Maine athletes and sports figures who have brought distinction and honor to the state of Maine.
