Lester "Joey" Clark of Norridgewock went from a strong Skowhegan High School football program to help build Maine Maritime Academy into a power in its conference as he gained a first team offensive guard berth on the 1983 NAIA Division II All-American football team.
The 6'1", 245 pound lineman lived up to that distinction by earning All-New England Football Conference selection three years, All-New England third team in1982, and a spot on the Boston Herald's 1980 Small College first team in his second of four seasons at MMA. Joey captained the 1982 team.
At MMA, Clark has been mess desk master at arms and has been named a Robert L. Hague American Legion Young Mane of Distinction.
