Michael Arena
Born on January 25, 1965 in Kennebunk, Maine
Education:

Michael Arena, a three-year basketball starter and two-time All-Southern York County League selection at guard, was captain of last season's squad, which shared the league title with Wells High School. Arena has also played varsity baseball the past three seasons for Kenenbunk High, was voted Most Valuable Player in 1982, as well as a member of the All-Star tems of 1981 and 1982 in both baseball and basketball. In 1983, Mike was named to the East-West All-Star Basketball team.

On the academic side of his high school career, Mike was third in a class of 149 with an 8.88 average on a 9.0 basis. He graduated as a member of the National Honor Society, was a member of the school Student Council, a delegate to Boys' State, participated in Maine Scholars Day, and was school high scorer in the National Mathematics Examination.

Mike's major field of scholastic interest is in economics and finance.

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1972 for the purpose of: 1) appointing and bestowing recognition awards and scholarships to outstanding Maine high school scholar-athletes; and, 2) to formally honor and memorialize Maine athletes and sports figures who have brought distinction and honor to the state of Maine.
