Josh is ranked #2 in his class of 324 with a weighted GPA of 4.49. He has been accepted to attend Princeton University with a major in Physics. He is the son of Brent and Gail Johnson.

Josh played Varsity Basketball and Varsity Football for three years and Varsity Baseball for four years. In each of those sports he served as captain for his Rams teams. In football he was All-Conference and All-State, in basketball he was Academic All-State, and in baseball he was All-Conference. During this time his teams have captured various state championships. As a leader "his attention to detail and genuine concern for the success and well being of each one of his fellow students and teammates is beyond reproach."

He has served as Student Council President, was a member of the Key Club and Math Team, was a National Merit Semifinalist, and received various departmental awards and the Baush & Lomb Science Award. He was also an AP Scholar and recipient of the Superintendent's Award. "Intelligent, hard working, highly self motivated. These are words that come to mind when thinking about Joshua Johnson. He is a young man of impeccable character and personal conviction who is committed to doing his very best in whatever he chooses to undertake."

Our Mission

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1972 for the purpose of: 1) appointing and bestowing recognition awards and scholarships to outstanding Maine high school scholar-athletes; and, 2) to formally honor and memorialize Maine athletes and sports figures who have brought distinction and honor to the state of Maine.
