A four-sport performer at Brewer High School, Evan Nadeau participated in soccer, golf, ice hockey, and tennis. Evan participated in soccer for three years and was named a First-Team All-Conference goalkeeper in 2009. A versatile athlete, he joined the Witches' golf program as a senior and earned both Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference All-Conference and All-Academic honors.
One of the top ice hockey players in Eastern Maine Class B, Evan has been a key member of the Brewer program throughout his four years at the school. During his junior year, he was a member of a Brewer squad that won both the KVAC and Class B state championships and was a Second Team All-KVAC forward. He was named an Eastern Maine Academic All-Star in Class B during that same season.
In addition to his involvement in athletics, Evan has been very active in community service organizations in Brewer. He participated in Veteran's Day celebrations for two years and has provided meal assistance through his church. He volunteers time to do yard work and snow removal for senior citizens. Evan has also been an assistant coach in Brewer youth soccer and youth ice hockey. He is a member of the Brewer chapter of the National Honor Society, Key Club, the Math Team, and the Se Beowulf Honors English Club.
Evan excels in the classroom as well. He has a career average of 99.0 in a rigorous academic program. He ranks 1st in a class of 142 students. Evan plans to attend the University of Maine in Orono this fall and major in liberal arts and sciences. Evan is the son of Ken and Brenda Nadeau and lives in Brewer.

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1972 for the purpose of: 1) appointing and bestowing recognition awards and scholarships to outstanding Maine high school scholar-athletes; and, 2) to formally honor and memorialize Maine athletes and sports figures who have brought distinction and honor to the state of Maine.
