A four-sport performer at Gorham High School, Kelsey Wilson has participated in soccer, basketball, tennis, and softball. One of Maine's premier girls soccer players, Kelsey participated on the Gorham varsity squad for four seasons and led her high school team to three consecutive state championships. She scored 85 goals during her outstanding career. Kelsey was named to the Maine Sunday Telegram All-State Team three times and was that newspaper's MVP in soccer in 2005 and 2006. Kelsey was Class A and Gatorade Maine Player of the Year in 2006.

Kelsey started on three consecutive Gorham Ram basketball squads as a guard. She captained her team during both her junior and senior years. She has also earned three varsity letters in tennis and was Gorham's number one singles player as a junior. She earned her program's Most Improved Award in 2005 and was the Coach's Award recipient in 2006.

In addition to her standout record in athletics, Kelsey has demonstrated excellence in other areas of school life. She was named to the National Honor Society as a sophomore and was that group's treasurer last year. She has been a participant in the Gorham math team and a member of the Fishing Club. She has volunteered her time with the Big Brother/Big Sister program and Special Olympics and has worked in an area soup kitchen. In addition, she has demonstrated an interest in journalism through her work with the Gorham Times, a local newspaper, and as a guest columnist in the fall of 2005 with the Portland Press Herald.

An outstanding student, Kelsey has a career average of 98.054. She plans on attending the University of Maine in Orono in the fall and plans to play for the Black Bear women's soccer team. Kelsey is the daughter of Douglas and Sandra Wilson of Gorham.

The Maine Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1972 for the purpose of: 1) appointing and bestowing recognition awards and scholarships to outstanding Maine high school scholar-athletes; and, 2) to formally honor and memorialize Maine athletes and sports figures who have brought distinction and honor to the state of Maine.
